“On the First day of Christmas my true love gave to me, a partridge in a pear tree.” I don’t know about you, but a partridge in a pear tree doesn’t sound like a good gift to me. Five golden rings? Maybe. But no partridge in a pear tree for me! We all know that the true meaning of Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus and the promise of salvation that He brought to us. This year, I want to be intentional about how I spend my time. So, I’ve made myself a 12 Days of Christmas activity list to complete with my husband. With the help of this list we will read through the Christmas Story, have a few dates, and have some quiet nights together. Most of these activities can be completed in just a few minutes and will cost you very little. That’s why it’s perfect for newlyweds like Brian and I!
Now, if you get a little behind, don’t worry! Move the activities around to different days if you need to. The important thing is that you are spending time together and focusing on the real meaning of Christmas.
