I have a passion for Ice Cream. I consider it a part of my diet that I must always make room for. Lately, one of my favorite Ice Cream Places has been Orange Leaf. Orange Leaf is technically frozen yogurt which makes it a little healthier without compromising the taste. So we stopped by the Orange Leaf of Owensboro and had a spontaneous date!
Orange Leaf is all about inspiring people to be creative and unique and their Ice Cream definitely supports that with their design and flavors! Brian and I were pleasantly surprised with all of their yummy frozen yogurt flavors and tons of toppings to choose from!
I choose brownie batter and birthday cake and it was delicious! Brian went with cheesecake. But half the fun with this place is checking out all the flavors. The flavors change so the next time we go we’ll try something else!
Once you have your fro-yo, you move on to the toppings bar. The toppings bar is also so much fun because of the choices! You have tons of sprinkles, syrups, and candies to choose from, as well as surprising toppings such as cereal, fruit and gummy bears! I went for oreos, snow caps, and every other chocolatey treat that I could find! Brian stuck to hot caramel syrup. So yummy!
Orange Leaf used to charge but the ounce, but recently switched over to 3 cup sizes and you just pay one price. I like it this way better because I know exactly how much to expect to pay.
Once we had our fro-yo Brian and I found a seat and enjoyed our treat and talked for a while.
I love dates like this because they require little planning and we can stop and spend a few minutes together on a day whenever we are already busy and out in town. P.S. How hilarious is Brian’s mountain of fro-yo? He takes food seriously! I’ve joked with him that someday I’m going to start a blog called ‘I Married a Foodie’ and write about his food additions, but that’s a project for another day!
Have you been to Orange Leaf before? What’s your favorite quick and fun date night idea? What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
P.S. This is not a sponsored post. We just love Orange Leaf!
