Each Day I get home from work at 5:10 and have a nice, home cooked meal on the table by 5:30. Here’s how I do it: I have a mental list of go-to recipes that can be prepped in minutes and then dumped in the crockpot. The recipe I am going to share with you today is super simple and amazingly delicious.
Easy Crockpot Salsa Chicken is just as simple as it sounds. You only need four ingredients and then you leave it in the crockpot all day.
First, spread about 1 tablespoon of butter on the bottom of the crockpot. Dump the chicken into the crockpot and spread it out easily. Frozen chicken is fine-no need to defrost it.
Next, cut open the Taco Seasoning Packet and cover the chicken with seasoning.
Finally, Dump the entire jar of salsa on top of the chicken and seasoning. And that’s it! Put the lid on the crockpot and let it cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.
Whenever you are ready to eat you will find that the salsa mixture is very runny. Make sure you use a slotted spoon to scoop the chicken out of the crockpot. All the extra liquid makes the chicken nice and tender.
We typically eat our Easy Crockpot Salsa chicken with quesadilla, which take about 10 minutes to fry. However, Salsa chicken also goes well with rice, chips and queso, or cornbread as well.
