In case you missed it, Baby Putman will be here on November 3rd! I am 17 weeks along and still doing great! Baby is making itself known as my stomach gets rounder and rounder. Sleep is getting harder but I haven’t been as sick lately. We will find out if Baby Putman is a boy or a girl in 2 weeks and we can’t wait to finally know what we are expecting. We are planning a yard sale to make room for baby’s nursery. While we were driving home from vacation, I started to think about what the ‘If You Give A Mouse a Cookie’ story by Laura Numeroff might look like for a pregnant woman. Pregnancy is one crazy journey, but it is so worth it!
If you give a pregnant woman a cookie, she’ll probably want another one. Then, she’ll ask for a glass a milk. Soon, she’ll want your help getting up so that she can pee again. Once she sits back down, she’ll probably ask for another snack.
Once she is full, she’ll need some papaya to ease her heartburn and possibly a glass of milk. The milk will remind her that her baby is going to need milk and she’ll want to go shopping for bottles. Shopping will make her feet swell so then you’ll have to take her to buy another pair of shoes. Shoe shopping will wear her out so then she’ll want a foot rub.
After her foot rub, she’ll feel blessed to have you as her husband and ask for a tissue to wipe away her happy tears. Then she’ll be tired and ask you to bring her pregnancy pillow to her. Once she’s had a nap, she’ll ask you for a snack. And when you bring her a cookie, she’ll want a glass of milk to go with it.
I’m almost to the half way mark in this pregnancy, what should I expect going forward? Let me know in the comment section below!
