Christmas is only 6 days away and I am so excited that I can hardly stand it. Presents have been wrapped, fudge has been baked, and plans have been set into place. All that I have left to do is sit back and enjoy the most wonderful time of the year.
Since Christmas is only a few days away, I thought I would take today to share a little bit about what’s going on in my life and on the blog.
At Work- School is out until January 2nd and I am rejoicing! One of the awesome things about working at a school is getting off for holidays. For the past two weeks, our school has been full of Christmas decorations, songs, and excited little children. I feel like the holidays really come to life whenever you work in a school because Christmas is everywhere you look. I love it!
A few weeks ago, Brian started a new job. This has been the biggest blessing ever! He is still working at the hospital, but in a different department. Change is a good thing.
At Home- Our house is all decorated for Christmas! Mountains of fudge and cookies have been baked. I am blaring Christmas music as often as possible and have already seen my favorite Christmas movie, The Santa Clause, once. I even have my Christmas shopping completely done and that’s a first for me!
Our Dogs- Felise had a seizure a few weeks ago and scared me half to death. It was awful! We had just gotten up and I was putting my clothes in the bathroom whenever I heard a thump. I looked back into the bedroom and Felise had fallen off the bed. She was laying on the bed stiff and completely unable to move. I was terrified. I called into to work and rushed her to the vet’s office. By the time we got there she was walking again and they told me that she had most likely had a seizure. Now, she is completely back to normal and I am so happy!
Dating My Husband- Since it’s winter, Brian haven’t been getting out as often as possible, but we did take a trip to Santa Claus, Indiana yesterday! We found ourselves a Mistletoe and had a great time despite the freezing cold weather.
The Blog- Grace, Love, Life is doing just as well as ever! This month I’ve been able to share several guest posts for the Celebrating Love series and if you haven’t read them you should right now! I also shared a post on Mary that I really loved. You might have noticed that I’m working with more sponsors now than ever before and that’s because freelance writing is part of how I make money for my family. Be assured that I will only ever share companies with you that I truly love and think you will love as well.
Holiday Cheer!- Christmas is less than one week away! We’ll be spending Christmas with Brian’s family this year and will be traveling to see my family on the day after Christmas. Brian and I will both be off work the whole week between Christmas and New Years! Anyone suggestions on how we should celebrate the New Year? We have no plans!
In God’s Word- I’m trying to decide if I should start reading through James or start a new Bible study on praying for your marriage. What have you been reading lately? Any suggestions?
I hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas! The blog will be quieter than usual next week as I spend time with my family. What plans to do you have for the holidays?
