Thank you, Jesus, for Thanksgiving. The one day of the year when everyone takes a step back and remembers how blessed we are to have you. Thank you for providing food for us every day and for our turkey today. Thank you for football and laughter and fun parades.
Thank you, Jesus, for my family. I have a loving husband by my side and that is enough. I am blessed to have him in my life. Thank you for letting me be his wife. Thank you, Jesus, for our parents, siblings, grandparents, nephews, and niece. And precious little niece who is yet to be born. One of my favorite family memories is sitting around the dinner table and playing games. They say that laughter is the best medicine and our family loves to laugh together.
Thank you, Jesus, for my friends. You saw a lonely girl and put people in your life who understand her and loved her unconditionally. Sometimes, you use their words to speak to my heart. I don’t know what I would do without them.
Thank you, Jesus, for my church. Whenever I left Edenton I didn’t think I would ever find a church to call home, but I did. Ninth and O wasn’t just my home it was my family. Whenever I moved again it was to marry Brian and we visited many churches before deciding on the one in our own backyard. We love Crosspointe and we are so glad that you gave us that church.
Thank you, Jesus, for our jobs. I love, love, love my job working with autistic children and after a whole year of being treated unfairly, I need this breath of fresh air. Thank you, Jesus, for the new job that Brian will start next week. He needs this. Bless our efforts and give us all that we need. Make us lights in this dark world.
Thank you, Jesus, that this election is over. Our country needs you. We need your peace and we need your guidance. Thank you, Jesus, for loving those who fail you and willingly offering forgiveness to anyone who will take it.
Thank you, Jesus, for salvation. Your suffering and death gave us a way to God. We cannot get to Heaven without and I anticipate the day whenever I can finally hug you and thank you in person. Thank you, Jesus, for my life and my eternity. I am nothing without you.
Thank you, Jesus, for everything. I love you.
