God is sure good at creating masterpieces, isn’t he? Just look at this sunset from yesterday. Gorgeous.
God didn’t have to give us sunsets but He did. The sun could have just set and rose without a single flicker of color across the sky and we would have never known any difference, but He gave us color. He gave beauty for no purpose but our joy and His.
Here’s another one from the other day when we were driving over a flooded field. God just made our world BEAUTIFUL!
I know a lot of people aren’t a fan of the snow, but I am. I know it has the power to be immensely dangerous and magnificent at once, but when the light is sparkling off of it it is just plain, magical. Don’t you agree?
If anyone ever praised God and pointed us to His greatness, surely it is nature.
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
And do you know what? Nature isn’t even God’s greatest masterpiece. His greatest masterpiece is man.
So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
Genesis 1: 27
You are not only a masterpiece, but a creation based on God’s image. Wow. Let that sink in for a minute. We are God’s most beautiful creation. Now I know that we are not perfect and that we mess of often, but we were created to shine brighter than anything else in all of creation. We have the ability to speak of what God has done for us and praise God with our very own lips.
We are His masterpieces.
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
You are beautiful and when you open your eyes each morning you have the ability to share the love that God gave to you with the world. Just as the Bible teaches us, nature is proclaiming the glory of God.
What about you? You have a choice to make. You are God’s Masterpiece. Let others see that your beauty comes from within. Let them see God through you.
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
You are beautiful both inside and out and you are God’s masterpiece. in Christ Jesus you are a new creation. He has a purpose for your life and I pray that you seek out His will for your life today. He has good things planned for you.
And if ever you start to feel like you aren’t beautiful just remember: God created your beauty to top that of all His others creations and He loves you very, very much.
